About

The Australasian Accounting, Business and Finance Journal is a double blind peer reviewed academic journal. The AABFJ publishes interdisciplinary research which informs a range of business-related fields. These include accounting, finance and financial planning research. We are included on the Web of Science's Emerging Sources Citation Index. AABFJ holds a B ranking on the Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) journal list. We are ranked Q2 under Scimago and our articles appear in the Scopus database. We are signatories to the SDG Publishers Compact.

Focus and Scope

The Australasian Accounting, Business and Finance Journal is a double blind peer reviewed academic journal. The main focus of our journal is to encourage research from areas of social and environmental critique, exploration and innovation as well as from more traditional areas of accounting, finance and financial planning research. There are no fees or charges associated with submitting to or publishing in this journal.

We particularly encourage submissions from research students (especially PhD students) emerging scholars and early career researchers and aim to provide supportive feedback on all submissions.

Fields in which we seek articles include accounting; finance; financial planning; third sector; environmental accounting and finance; articles on the history of accounting and finance; alternative research in accounting, business and finance; forensic accounting and critical papers in accounting and finance. We also welcome case studies, technical notes and book reviews on accounting and finance topics.

Peer Review

Each manuscript is reviewed by the editor for general suitability for this journal. For those considered suitable, reviewers will be selected and a double blind review process will take place. Using the recommendations of the reviewers, the editor will then decide whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised or rejected for publication.

Please submit, in your cover letter to the editor submitted online with the manuscript, the names, affiliations and e-mail addresses of four potential referees. Note that the editor will decide whether or not these reviewers are contacted.
